Trees can develop unusual shapes because of wind, uneven growth, limited space, and the direction of sunlight.
A tree with a curved trunk and two exposed roots might appear to have legs. Branches extending sideways can resemble arms, while a cluster of leaves may look like a head.
When someone photographs such a tree against a plain background, the resemblance becomes even more noticeable.
It may look as though the tree is taking a step across the garden or leaning forward to greet someone.
The illusion becomes particularly funny when a nearby person happens to stand beside it in a pose that appears to complete the scene.
